(no. 1 refreshed), and gold-inlaid '1' and '2' at the breech-ends, 2 1/2in. chambers, bored approx. 1/4 choke in all, early pattern Anson and Deeley patent treble-grip actions, patent no. 1756 of 1875, use nos. 5227 (no.1) and 5196 (no.2), and Deeley's patent ejectors, patent no. 14526 of 1884, use nos. 283 (no.1) and 286 (no.2), toplevers engraved 'WESTLEY RICHARDS PATENT EJECTOR' and '1' and '2', automatic safeties with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' details, intercepting sears, fully selective single-triggers with triggerplate mounted barrel-selector switches marked 'L' and 'R', best fine acanthus scroll engraving surrounding the makers name in scrolling banners, the triggerguards engraved with acanthus scroll work and a hare (no.1) and a hound on point (no.2), bright and blued finish overall, 14 1/4in. highly figured stocks with chequered side panels, and steel heel and toe plates, fore-ends with Deeley and Edge patent release catches, gold-inlaid '1' and '2', and with horn finials, weight 6lb. 12oz. (no.1) and 6lb. 13oz. (no.2)
